Biography
Chris Koch was a mobile, try-scoring loose-head prop who played 22 Tests over 11 years. Born in Moorreesburg on 21 September 1927, he was spotted playing for Boland and was virtually unknown when he was picked for the 1949 trials.
He scored two tries in the 44–0 win over Scotland in 1951, and others against Australia in 1953 and the British Isles in 1955. He toured Britain in 1951–52 and New Zealand in 1956, and played his last Test against the 1960 All Blacks. He died on 21 March 1986.
