Biography

Damian de Allende is a powerful, direct inside centre who has won the Rugby World Cup twice. Born in Cape Town on 25 November 1991 and educated at Milnerton High, he has played for Western Province, Munster and Panasonic Wild Knights and had won 103 caps by September 2026.

He scored a superb try in the 2019 World Cup semi-final against Wales and played in the final, and scored in the 2023 quarter-final against France on the way to a second title. He formed a long-standing centre partnership with Lukhanyo Am and later Jesse Kriel.
