Biography

Marius Joubert was a quick, elusive outside centre who played 30 Tests between 2001 and 2005. Born in Paarl on 10 July 1979 and educated at Paarl Gimnasium, he played for Boland and Western Province. He formed a long midfield partnership with De Wet Barry. His finest day came at Ellis Park in 2004, when he scored a hat-trick in a 40–26 win over New Zealand that helped South Africa win the Tri Nations.
