Biography

Tiny Naude was a big lock and a reliable goal-kicker who scored 47 points in 14 Tests. Born in Warrenton on 2 November 1936, he moved to Western Province to win his Springbok place.

He scored a try and a penalty on debut against Australia in 1963. His most famous kick came in Christchurch in 1965, when he landed a difficult late penalty in muddy conditions to win the third Test 19–16. He also scored a try and two penalties in the 25–20 win over the British Isles in 1968. He died on 28 December 2006.
