Biography

Henry Honiball was a big, strong flyhalf known as ‘Lem’ (blade) for his fierce tackling. Born in Estcourt on 1 December 1965, he played for the Orange Free State and Natal and won 35 caps between 1993 and 1999.

He was a key figure in the 1997 series against the British Isles and in the record run of 17 straight wins under Nick Mallett in 1997–98, scoring 156 Test points. He played at the 1999 World Cup and later farmed in KwaZulu-Natal.
