Biography

Robert Cockrell was a Western Province hooker who played 11 Tests between 1974 and 1981. Born in Cape Town on 4 April 1950, he made his debut in the 13–4 win over France in Toulouse and scored a try against France in 1975. He played in the 1976 series win over New Zealand and toured South America in 1980 and New Zealand in 1981. He died on 26 May 2000.
