Biography

Jeremy Nel was a steady, reliable centre who played eight Tests between 1956 and 1958. Born in Louis Trichardt on 21 September 1934 and educated at Potchefstroom Boys’ High, he played for Western Province and Transvaal. He scored a try on debut in the 9–0 win over Australia in Sydney and was one of the best players on the 1956 tour of New Zealand. He died on 25 June 2023.
