Biography

Popeye Strydom was a small, nippy scrumhalf who played six Tests between 1955 and 1958. Born in Kareedouw on 20 January 1932 and educated at Grey College, he played for the Orange Free State and Eastern Province. He toured Australia and New Zealand in 1956 and also played baseball at provincial level. He died on 31 March 2001.
