Biography

Jimmy White was a determined, confident centre from Border who played ten Tests between 1931 and 1937. Born in Queenstown on 20 May 1911 and educated at Queen’s College, he made his debut against Wales on the 1931–32 tour.

He played all five Tests against the 1933 Wallabies, scoring a try in Port Elizabeth. On the 1937 tour he scored against Australia in Sydney and dropped a goal against New Zealand in Wellington. He died on 3 July 1997.
