Biography
Harry Morkel played lock in the first Test against New Zealand at Dunedin in 1921, aged 32. Born in Kimberley on 8 December 1888, he was a big, strong and fast runner who had made his name on the wing, and he was also a champion hurdler. He represented Western Province. He died on 16 July 1956.
