Biography
Wally Clarkson was a Natal centre who played two Tests on the 1921 tour of New Zealand and a third against the British Isles in 1924. Born in Durban on 8 July 1896 and educated at Maritzburg College and Glenwood, he was in the side for the 9–5 win at Eden Park, South Africa’s first win over the All Blacks. He died on 3 June 1973.
