Biography

Billy Sendin scored a try on his only Test appearance, the 9–5 win over New Zealand at Eden Park, Auckland, in 1921, South Africa’s first Test victory over the All Blacks. Born in Kimberley on 4 October 1896, he was a slightly built outside centre who represented Griqualand West. He died on 16 July 1977.
