Biography

Cocky Hahn played on the right wing in all three Tests against the 1910 British Isles side and scored a try in the first, a 14–10 win in Johannesburg. South Africa took the series 2–1. Born in Paarl on 7 January 1886, the son and grandson of Lutheran ministers, he was educated at Paarl Boys’ High and played for Transvaal. He died in Grootfontein, in what is now Namibia, on 27 September 1948.
