Biography

Paul de Villiers is a fierce, hard-working flanker and breakdown specialist who models his game on Heinrich Brüssow. Born in George on 13 January 2003 and educated at Oakdale, he captained the Junior Springboks before establishing himself with the Stormers.

He first played for South Africa against the Barbarians in June 2026. He won his first Test cap against England at Ellis Park a few weeks later, when injuries to Siya Kolisi and Eben Etzebeth opened up a place.
