Biography

Japie le Roux toured Britain and Ireland with the 1906–07 Springboks but did not play in a Test. Born in Paarl on 21 August 1882, he was a strong-running, versatile wing who learned his rugby at Stellenbosch under Markötter and later played for Gardens and Western Province. He scored regularly on tour as cover for both wing positions. His brother Pietie won three caps on the same tour. He died on 4 March 1949.

Japie Le Roux was picked for a Springbok touring team but did not play in a Test.
