Biography
Arthur Marsberg was a fearless fullback whose performances on the 1906–07 tour made him famous in Britain. Born in Sterkstroom on 24 September 1883, he played for Griqualand West.
He won three caps on that tour, at fullback against Scotland and on the wing against Wales and England, and was praised in the British press for his tackling and his bold running. His brother Archie also played for South Africa. Arthur died on 15 January 1942.
