Biography
Johan le Roux was one of the strongest scrummaging props of his era. Born in Vereeniging on 15 November 1961, he played for Transvaal and won three caps in 1994, against England and New Zealand. He is remembered for biting the ear of All Black captain Sean Fitzpatrick in Wellington in 1994, which earned him a long ban. His father Koos was a well-known provincial front-rower.
