Biography
Tommy Hepburn kicked the goal that sealed South Africa’s first Test win. In the fourth Test against the 1896 British Isles side at Newlands, he converted Alf Larard’s try for a 5–0 victory, in what proved to be his only appearance.
Born in Shoshong, in what is now Botswana, on 14 February 1872, he was educated at SACS and played for Western Province. He died on 13 September 1933.
