Biography

Sakkie Sauermann was a Transvaal prop who played five Tests between 1971 and 1974. Born in Alberton on 16 November 1944, he scored the late try that earned Transvaal a share of the 1971 Currie Cup. He toured Australia in 1971. He later farmed along the Olifants River. He died on 13 June 2014.
