Biography

Wang Wyness was a surprise choice at inside centre against the 1962 British Isles side and had an excellent series. Born in Colesberg on 23 January 1937, he played for Hamiltons and Western Province, as his father had. He played all four Tests of that series, which South Africa won, and scored a try in the 34–14 win in Bloemfontein. He won a fifth cap against Australia in 1963. He died on 6 November 2011.
