Biography
Percy Twentyman Jones was a double international who represented South Africa at both rugby and cricket. Born in Beaufort West on 13 September 1876 and educated at Diocesan College (Bishops), he played on the wing for Western Province.
At 19 he played three Tests against the 1896 British Isles side. He scored a try in the third Test and was part of the team that won the fourth at Newlands, 5–0, South Africa’s first Test victory. In 1902 he played a cricket Test against Australia. He qualified as a lawyer, later became a judge, and died on 8 March 1954.
