Biography
Pat Lyster was a Natal wing known for his speed off the mark and his swerve. Born in Durban on 31 May 1913 and educated at CBC Kimberley, he won three caps: two against the 1933 Wallabies and one against New Zealand in Wellington on the 1937 tour. He later practised law in Durban and won the Military Cross in the Western Desert during the Second World War. He died on 25 July 2002.
