Biography
Bert Kipling was a specialist hooker of rare quality who played nine Tests. Born in Kimberley on 24 December 1903, he played for Griqualand West and Transvaal and hooked in all four Tests on the 1931–32 tour, all won. He also played all five Tests against the 1933 Wallabies. He died on 13 September 1981.
