Biography
John Oliver was a Transvaal prop who played the last two Tests against the 1928 All Blacks at the age of 31: the 11–6 win in Port Elizabeth and the 5–13 loss at Newlands. Born in Graaff-Reinet on 17 May 1897, he died on 2 June 1985.
