Biography

Brooke Duffy played inside centre in the 17–0 win over New Zealand at Kingsmead in 1928, his only Test, and was badly hurt in a collision during the match. Born in East London on 17 November 1905 and educated at Selborne College, he played for Hamiltons and Border. He was also a swimmer, water polo player and oarsman, and later served as president of the Border Rugby Union. He died on 16 March 1958.
