Biography

Baby Michau was a giant forward, among the tallest and heaviest men of his time, who played lock in the first Test against New Zealand at Dunedin in 1921. Born in Cradock on 14 August 1890, he represented Transvaal and later captained the Witwatersrand side that beat the 1924 British tourists. He died on 20 June 1945.
