Biography
Pinkie Daneel was a sturdy Western Province forward who played all four Tests on the 1906–07 tour of Britain and Ireland. Born in Heidelberg in the Western Cape on 4 May 1882 and educated at Paul Roos Gymnasium, he learned his rugby at Victoria College in Stellenbosch and was known for his work in the scrum and at the line-out. He died on 7 January 1947.
